Our History
Wayne and Dorothy purchased their family home when they were married in 1967. Wayne farmed with his dad, and Dorothy worked as a nurse as they raised their family. They have 2 grown children both of whom live out of state, but enjoy coming back to visit. They often bring friends and other families with them. Everyone seems to enjoy visiting 'the farm'. The grandchildren love coming to farm with "Pops", take nature walks, and sew with "Nana".
In 2007 Dorothy and Wayne celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in Branson, while the family started remodeling the family home. With great excitement, the grandchildren watched the porches being removed. They then lifted the house, put in a new basement, and added on a gathering room and garage.
Dorothy's always loved to entertain and has a flair for decorating. She is grateful to everyone who helped remodel their home and wants it to be an oasis from the world for those who visit. As she and Wayne are cutting back on the farming and nursing, they decided to open their home as a Bed & Breakfast. They have been a licensed B&B since 2010.
